Hand & Foot Care Must Haves

With all the lovely body care products out at the moment it can be hard to remember to include our hands and feet into our moisturisation routine...

Fear not though, here is my list of staple products to add to your wishlist! Up first is a pot of pure perfection, ever find that your nice new manicure is ruined by unsightly cuticles? Try Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, this is super hydrating and smells amazing and the tin pot is great for a manicure on the go. Another product from Burt's Bees is the Coconut Foot Cream, this thick oil like cream is super rich combating dry, hard skin on the feet - this feels like a really luxurious treatment, pop this on before bed and wear some bed socks and you will wake up with a brand new pair of feet... well almost.

For a lighter foot cream that can be used before putting your sandals on try the Elemis Spa at Home Foot Cream, the creamy lotion soothes the skin and hydrates it so your tootsies will look perfect - I love applying this after being on my feet all day. This sinks in really well too so you don't have to worry about walking round the house after application.

I always have a hand cream in my bag, and the two currently on rotation at the moment are the Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream and the Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment, both are great at providing must needed moisture to dry hands.

The Origins Duo

The moisturiser and pre-treatment that every girl needs to add to their skincare regime...

I picked these two Origins products up in the Boots Christmas sale, I had heard great things about this skincare brand so I was really looking forward to trying these out. First up is the Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion, I use this pre-moisturiser on clean dry skin. As directed I apply a few drops to a cotton pad and dab onto my face. This treatment lotion is fortified with Rose of Jerico, Lychee and Watermelon complex that helps to prepare the skin for treatments to follow. I like to use the Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Moisturiser after the treatment lotion. Using the same active ingredients it really re-hydrates the skin. This sinks into the skin really well and does not feel too heavy or rich so is great to use in the mornings as well as the evenings.

To my surprise both these skincare products are recommended for oily to combination skin, as I have oily skin I never thought this kind of intense hydration would suit my skin but oily skin can often be dehydrated and in desperate need of moisture, and after using this as part of my skincare regime for a few weeks I can definitely see the difference, my skin has found it's balance and oil is less of a problem.

I have also been trying out the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, review coming soon!

Getting Beach Ready

Whether you are planning a trip abroad somewhere hot this summer or just hanging out in your garden enjoying the British summer I have got the must haves covered...

The Bikini - There are so many different styles on the high street this summer, from high waisted vintage inspired numbers to the classic triangle style, I have picked up a few sets to last me through my trip away at the end of June. The first is a high waisted duo from River Island, the shape is very fifties with a contrasting modern pattern that gives this bikini a unique look. This shade of blue will flatter so many different skin tones and the shape really helps to create an hourglass figure. If this has too much material for you then try Boohoo, I found this adorable nautical inspired triangle bikini with tie up sides and neck, there is no denying this is for the braver gals out there as this style shows a lot of skin - but it is great for getting maximum tan! H&M have a lovely summer swimwear selection in at the moment, I chose this bronze set with rose gold beads, the top is super comfortable and gives great support, and this design comes in a range of colours so it is easy to mix and match tops and bottoms to create a more unique set.

Kimonos have been really big this year, and I think summer will see the trend continue to flourish, these are perfect for wearing with a bikini on the beach, they come in so many different patterns and fabrics it is really easy to find one that suits your style, I went for the River Island Kimono in purple, it looks wonderfully oriental and is nice and long so has a real bohemian vibe.

My beach must haves as far as products go are fairly minimal, keep hair and make up simple and be bold with nail polish, I love bright summer shades like Essie's Tart Deco and Style Hunter or anything from the Models Own Hedkandi or Polish for Tans collections. Speaking of tans I like to be a little bronzed on the beach so to give my tan a head start I use the Cocoa Brown One Hour Tan, this is super quick to apply, sinks in well and gives a lovely natural, long lasting shade.

So there are my tips on getting beach ready, what are some of yours?

The Brightening Exfoliator

Not sure what exfoliator to go for if you have sensitive skin? Prone to redness, eczema or acne? I may have found the solution...

As a girl with sensitive skin, choosing the right exfoliator can be tricky, I want something gentle that still removes dead skin cells and brightens the skin without causing it to flare up. Pai Skincare offers a gentle approach to exfoliation - the Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator is perfect for a more sensitive skin type, unlike other exfoliators that can irritate skin this has a micro-sphere system which protects the skin as it polishes. These Jojoba beads gently roll over the skin lifting away impurities and dead skin revealing a brighter complexion. It is also packed with high concentrations of Omega 3 & 6 and Vitamins A, D and E which instantly provide hydration and help to soften the skin.

I apply this to dry, clean skin and massage in using gentle circular motions and then rinse and polish with a warm muslin cloth, this helps to polish the skin and reveal a more youthful, radiant complexion.

Have you tried this beauty yet? What are your tips for problem/sensitive skin?
