Revlon's New Lip Moisture Stains

With lots of amazing lip launches recently on the high street I knew it wouldn't be long until Revlon bought something new to the table... Enter the Revlon Moisture Stains.

If there is one thing I cannot get enough of it is lip products, there are so many different formulas, finishes and shades to choose from that you can never have too many. When I read about the new Revlon Moisture Stains being released I couldn't resist picking up a few, I was hoping these would be a more moisturising version of the Bourjois Velvet Lipsticks, which I love by the way but a more glossy formula would be perfection. I went for the shades Cannes Crush - a pretty everyday coral shade with the right amount of orange and pink tones, and Parisian Passion - a deep, dark purple that will look perfect paired with a neutral eye look and fresh skin.

These go on very glossy in a rather sheer way so be prepared to layer it up for a real colour impact. The formula is definitely buildable with a glass like shine finish. The applicator is slightly pointed making it easy to get a neat finish, and the packaging is really sleek, again very similar to the Bourjois Velvet range. The lasting power of the moisture stains is impressive considering the glossy finish.

These are now available at an introductory price of £5.99 at Superdrug.

M.A.C Morange Lipstick

M.A.C Lipsticks are renowned for being amazing and Morange is no exception. The colour first of all is the most gorgeous bright bold orange, it is a real red orange as opposed to a pinky/coral tone, this colour is so flattering against my skin tone. The formula is one of the Amplified Creme lipsticks, it applies really creamy and dries to a semi-matte finish, this lasts ages on the lips.

I like to keep the rest of my make up simple when using this as I only like to play up one feature at a time. Bold lips are so on trend at the moment, and I think this is the perfect bold colour to take you from summer to autumn.

Are you brave when it comes to a bold lip? or are you more of a neutral lip gal?

On The Lips...

I always like to have some form of lip product going on, for me it is as important as mascara, Lipstick is a great way of injecting some colour if you are going for a natural look with the rest of your make-up. Here is a few of my favourites:

Rimmel Red Fever 230 Lipstick, I'm not actually sure the price of this one as I can't seem to be able to find it for sale online so it has probably been discontinued. This is a true old Hollywood glamorous red, the texture is very matte and the finish is really long lasting.

Revlon Balm Stain Just Bitten Kissable in Rendezvous, £7.99. This is great for work or school as it has a barely there look that is just your lips but better, its a pretty natural sheer colour. I like the crayon style application as well.

Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 016, £5.49. This baby pink colour is perfect combined with a dark smokey eye. The finish is long lasting as you may have guessed from the name! It has good coverage but still has that sheen to it making the look softer.

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107, £5.49. The whole matte range is gorgeous first of all, the colours are so creamy and opaque and they really last for a long time, this colour is amazing, it's sexy, dark and can look a little bit intimidating, but I promise once this is one you will love it! and for just over a fiver you can't really go wrong.

M.A.C Lipstick in Morange, £15. Coral/Orange toned colours really suit my skin tone so I have quite a few, this is my favourite though, it's bold but pretty and is such a summery shade. Again this doesn't feel cakey and dry like some other lipsticks I have tried, it's creamy like the Rimmel Lipsticks and the cover is very opaque.

What's your favourite lipstick?
