I Don't Wanna Go Down To The Basement

After watching The Ramones documentary End of the Century  I felt pretty inspired to dig out my old Ramones tee along with a summer staple - the denim shorts and update the look for Autumn...

Autumn Style Essentials

Autumn layers, stripes and tartan...

With the weather slowly transitioning from the warm Indian summer we have been enjoying into the cold, wet weather of recent it was time for me to add a few extra layers to my usual attire, this stripped Topshop dress with the dropped hem is so easy to dress up or down, I paired it with my beloved leather jacket, I love this bomber style, I purchased this years ago from New Look and added a few studs onto the collar, another New Look find is the tartan scarf, I think Tartan will be big this Autumn/Winter.

Strawberries, Cherries and an Angel's Kiss in Spring

A late Summer inspired look perfect for a casual date night...

Dressing for this time of year can often leave one in a slight predicament, if you had of listened to the weather reports over the last few weeks then all your summer clothes will have been neatly stored away until next year, however Summer isn't going as quietly as some predicted, this past week has seen some gorgeous English weather so I thought I would put a late Summer inspired look together.

Spring Style Updates

If you are looking to update your wardrobe on a budget then here are a few purse friendly purchases that will transform last seasons dress...

A trend that I have been loving since it's comeback last year is the Scrunchie revival, who remembers having a scrunchie that matched the colours of your school uniform? Love them or hate them the Scrunchie has made a dramatic return to the high street. I have always been inspired by out there Asian street style and the idea of creating a fun, colourful character, and let's face it - an oversized polka dot scrunchie is a fun statement piece that can make even the most simple dress look more thought out. Lots of high street shops are selling these at the moment, Urban Outfitters have some great Vintage designs, I picked up mine from New Look where they retail at £2.99 - bargain!

If 80's hair isn't your thing then check out Native Wolf on Etsy, a lovely online jewellery shop with hand made bohemian gypsy inspired designs, all pendants retail around the £10 mark and include chains, this Pink Geode design with wire wrapping and long chain looks great mixed with other crystal and stone necklaces, I like to layer them to create a real hippy vibe. Check out the website here.

Another jewellery trend that I cannot get enough of is candy inspired pastel pieces, these statement drop earrings from River Island are stunning and the mix of colours mean these are going to go with so many different things, again these are £10 and can really transform a plain dress taking it from day to night.
