OOTD - Blue Moon

Keeping it classic in Navy...

Navy is such a wearable colour I often consider it in the same category as monochrome, it is very classic and chic. I sometimes think I could live in this little ASOS number, it is such a flattering a-line shape and the crotchet texture adds a real bohemian vibe. I paired it with my New Look Blazer style coat, a Topshop satchel style bag and black pumps. This look is great for the transition into spring as the dress is super lightweight and has little short sleeves for if the weather is hot enough that you need to remove the jacket, it is also really easy to update this dress for dinner or drinks in the evening.

I kept my jewellery minimal with a gold charm necklace from Camden Market and vintage style coin studs from River Island, I also wore this statement ring that I picked up from Topshop in their most recent sale, the centre stone looks like Jade and is surrounded by pretty green gems.

How would you style this ASOS dress?

Autumn Style Essentials

Autumn layers, stripes and tartan...

With the weather slowly transitioning from the warm Indian summer we have been enjoying into the cold, wet weather of recent it was time for me to add a few extra layers to my usual attire, this stripped Topshop dress with the dropped hem is so easy to dress up or down, I paired it with my beloved leather jacket, I love this bomber style, I purchased this years ago from New Look and added a few studs onto the collar, another New Look find is the tartan scarf, I think Tartan will be big this Autumn/Winter.

Strawberries, Cherries and an Angel's Kiss in Spring

A late Summer inspired look perfect for a casual date night...

Dressing for this time of year can often leave one in a slight predicament, if you had of listened to the weather reports over the last few weeks then all your summer clothes will have been neatly stored away until next year, however Summer isn't going as quietly as some predicted, this past week has seen some gorgeous English weather so I thought I would put a late Summer inspired look together.

Topshop Mini Nail Trio

I picked up this lovely set in the Topshop sale a couple of weeks ago, it was originally £14 but I managed to find it reduced to a fiver! I hadn't previously tried a Topshop polish before, I rarely stray from my beloved Essie but at £5 for three nail polishes I thought it would be worth a try. I love the three shades in this set, Magpie is a beautiful clear polish with large holographic glitter, I love this layered over a nude shade like Essie St Tropez, the other glitter in the set is Gypsy Night, a black glossy polish flecked with orange and gold glitter, this looks so pretty, you need a good three coats for this to look amazing though. Lastly is my favourite of the trio, Dazzle is a pretty metallic rusty orange red shade that will suit lots of different skin tones. This shade looks great on all ten nails or as an accent nail with a more subtle shade. I love the brushes on the Topshop polishes, they are nice and wide making application easy and the lacquer itself lasts really well.

I am definely going to be picking up some more shades in Topshops' range, I know they have lots of pretty colours. What are some of your favourites?

The Statement Necklace

I love jewellery, from beautiful pearls and sparkly diamonds to outrageously bright costume jewellery. There is no better accessory than a huge statement necklace. They can turn the dullest of ensembles into something chic. This season I am loving tribal colours like burnt orange and turquoise with a mixture of old gold and silver. So many high street shops are loving this look right now but none quite like Topshop, bold, bright, stunning designs that are so eye-catching they really do make a statement!

What's your favourite accessory this season?

Jean shorts / Topshop / Topshop / Zara stone jewellery / Zara chain necklace / Forever 21 woven headband

As the weather has been pretty good for a British Summer (apart from a storm or two) recently I have felt the need to dig out my Vintage Levi cut offs and purchase a few cooler ensembles. I have been loving the cami with little shorts or skirts for casual or jeans and heels in the evenings. These Topshop cami's retail at £18 each, the fit is loose and flowing and the fabric drapes really nicely.

I have also been trying to inject a little more colour into my outfits to give a more summery feel, Zara and Forever 21 are great for accessories this season like this lovely blue rosebud headband.
