Just Landed - Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

I absolutely loved The Body Shop's Nutriganics Drops of Youth Concentrate when it launched last year, and the rest of the range is so gentle yet effective when it comes to anti-ageing and keeping skin looking fresh and youthful, so when I heard that a new sleeping mask was on the horizon I knew it was something I needed to try...

The New Bouncy Sleeping mask has well and truly made its way into my everyday night time routine, this is the perfect final step in any skincare routine as the sticky gel like cream sits on the skin overnight sealing in night creams, serums etc. The innovative bounce back texture is super lightweight and easy to massage into the skin, I like to use my facial massager as this helps improve circulation and feels nice and relaxing.

The mask is packed with skin loving ingredients like Edelweiss plant extract - this precious plant is great for renewing skin cells, the stem cell technology used in the mask encourages the skins cell renewal and slows down the natural collagen breakdown that happens as we age, meaning the skins elasticity decreases at a slower rate, basically meaning younger looking skin, as well as that this mask is packed with hyaluronic acid which holds one hundred times its own weight in moisture so skin feels plump and hydrated when you wake up.

Will you be trying out the Bouncy Sleeping Mask?

Keep an eye out for part two of the 'Just Landed' series as The Body Shop have also released a brand new hydrating primer!

Spring Hair Boutique - Salon Review

After seeing Spring Hair Boutique launch late last year I knew I had to pay the salon a visit to get my hair re-ombred as the colour had faded since my last trip to the hairdressers...

I love going to the hairdressers, there is something so nice about leaving with a fresh new look and that salon style blow dry that is impossible to re-create at home. Salon owner Claire has created a stylish boutique vibe in her quaint salon situated in Tarring, Worthing. I love the way she has designed the space, it has a real rustic feel to it with its handmade shelving and hanging flowers in the window.

My stylist Holly wanted to use a Balayage board to colour my hair which created a natural melt/fade as opposed to a prominent line where the colour changes, she used Schwarzkopf colour which left my hair in lovely condition, she also gave my hair a miracle oil conditioning treatment and head massage which felt very relaxing. After my colour was rinsed she gave my hair a much needed trim and added in some layers to give it more body and movement.

I really enjoyed my experience at Spring Boutique and my hair looks in such good condition considering it was bleached and coloured. I was treated to a professional blow dry which left my hair feeling bouncy and created lots of volume, I will definitely be going back next time I need my hair doing for a night out!

Where To Eat: Brighton - The Creperie

When it comes to finding nice places to eat in Brighton it is hardly a struggle, The Creperie is one of Brighton's little gems that still feels somewhat undiscovered...

Nestled right along the coastline near the iconic Pier it is in the perfect setting when you are in the mood for a seaside snack, whether you are after something sweet or savoury this is the place to be. The menu was created by Karen Samuel and is packed with mouth watering delights like sweet crepes, waffles with chocolate and fruit, there is also a wide range of gelato and sorbet and some seriously delicious savoury dishes like the Mediterranean crepe filled with roasted vegetables including courgette, aubergines and peppers. On my most recent visit I chose the 'Soft and Mallow' sweet crepe - a freshly made soft crepe filled with white chocolate and baby marshmallows that had melted and turned into a truly tasty gooey mess - definitely one I recommend!

The décor is also one of the reasons it is one of my favourite places in Brighton, it is a classic mix of French and English, filled with vintage enamel wear and cookery books filling the shelves behind the seating area.

Next time your visiting Brighton go and check out The Creperie, you won't be disappointed!

Where to Eat in London: The Diner - Camden

With Johnny Cash playing in the background and burgers to die for being served left right and centre, The Diner is definitely on my list of favourite places to eat in Camden...

Although nothing beats the street food stalls in Camden Lock, when you have spent the entire day shopping the idea of sitting down for dinner is incredibly appealing, so after a long stint of riffling through rack after rack of vintage clothes and records I decided to go find somewhere where I could grab a spot of dinner as well as a chair and that is when I came across The Diner - nestled in Jamestown Road just off the main street in Camden, the decor is a dark cherry red with leather seated booths and neon lights by the bar and the staff are equally as good looking.

Now for the food, I went for the BBQ Chicken Burger - pulled BBQ chicken with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise and BBQ sauce all sandwiched between a seeded bun. The chicken was tender and gorgeously flavoured, I also opted for a side of fries topped with melted cheese, cooked to perfection and piping hot these went down a treat. Luca chose the Grab Burger, classic American cheeseburger packed with two burger patties and covered in burger sauce I think it is safe to say he enjoyed it!

Have you ever eaten at The Diner? Where is your place to go for a good old burger?

Bath Time Essentials

My must have products for the ultimate bath time experience...

When it comes to it nothing is quite as relaxing as a hot bath especially one filled with fragrant luxurious bubbles, I love the Lush bubble bars as they not only fill the bath with a mountain of bubbles but they leave the skin feeling super soft and moisturised afterwards. Two new bubble bars I have been trying are from the Lush Christmas collection, first up is Holy Golightly - shaped like a Christmas pudding and covered in silver glitter this is perfect for a festive pamper evening, this bubble bar is packed with spicy Christmas scents like clove leaf oil, cinnamon leaf oil and sweet orange oil. Another Lush bar I love is Candy Mountain, this sweet bath treat is packed with comforting vanilla scent and turns the bath water a beautiful shade of pink.

The Body Shop's Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt is also another bath time favourite, the perfect mixture of honey and wildflower give this bath melt a gorgeous fragrance, the creamy bubbles leave a rich layer of moisture on the skin. My final bath time must have is The Body Shop's Early Harvest Raspberry Body Scrub, this stuff smells incredible and the seed like texture lifts away dead skin helping to improve the body's circulation.

What are your favourite bathtime products? Have you tried anthing from the Lush Christmas range yet?

Skincare Extras - Weekly Treats

My once a week skincare treats that keep my skin looking bright and hydrated...

My weekly treatment regime starts with my usual cleanse, for that I have been using The Body Shops Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil, after that I wet my face and apply my Vitamin C Mircrodermabrasion scrub again from The Body Shop. Mircrodermabrasion is an intense treatment that buffs away the surface layer of the skin revealing a brighter complexion. I find my skin feels super soft after using this and the texture of my skin is smoother. The fine exfoliating beads are packed with Vitamin C, this ingrediant is great for reviving dull skin.

You simply cannot indugle in a pamper evening without a face mask, my current mask of choice is The Body Shops Honey and Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask, like my microdermabrasion treatment this gently buffs away dead skin cells with its grainy texture. The Community Fair Trade honey in this mask makes it super hydrating. I leave this on for ten minutes to reveal a fresh complexion that has been conditioned and moisturised.

What are your favourite skincare treatments?
