Ain't That Sweet

I was looking through photographs I had taken from last weekend and I couldn't resist posting about one of my favourite places to go if I fancy something a little indulgent, Castle Chocolates in Arundel is the most adorable sweet shop, they have all sorts of lovely things to try including handmade chocolates, nougat and fudge in all kinds of weird and wonderful flavours. The hand picked chocolate boxes make the perfect gift, the lovely Gentleman behind the counter lets you try things before you purchase to make sure you like them. As per usual Luca and I came away with a ridiculous amount of goodies.

You can find Castle Chocolates on Tarrant Street.

Shaking Up My Make Up Routine

I recently changed up my everyday make up routine, it is good to try out different products and formulas once in a while, the purchase that convinced me to change my base was the L'Oreal Infallible 24 hour foundation, when it comes to make up for the day I like my foundation to be long lasting so seeing 24 hour in the product description got me hooked, I chose the shade 'Golden Sand' which suits me really well, It is a full coverage foundation that gives the skin a radiant look without being too dewy, it isn't too matte either so it sits right in the middle with a satin like finish. True to its name this foundation is long lasting, I can't say if it would last the whole 24 hours, who wears make up for that long? I have stuck with my trusty Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Medium Cool, this helps to conceal dark circles and blemishes.

For a natural eye look I have been using the MUA pallet in Undressed, this pallet is packed with pretty shimmering neutral shades for a subtle look. Benefit's Coralista has wiggled its way back into my make up bag, this is just about the prettiest blush I own and it has the right amount of shimmer for a daytime look. For the lips I have been reaching for Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade 'Lovers Coral' this is super sheer and leaves my lips looking naturally tinted with a little shine, the formula is really nourishing too, the only downside is that it doesn't stick around for long but It is a delight to apply so I am not too bothered.

How often do you change your routine? Or are you stuck in a bit of a beauty rut?

An Ode to Revlon

Revlon have always been one of my favourite high street brands, the Photoready foundation is my go to for my everyday base and their recent blush releases are gorgeous, I recently picked up a few new products in the Boots three for two offer as you do, after reading so many good things about the Photoready Skin Lights Face Illuminator I knew I needed it for my collection, I chose the shade 'Bare Lights' as it looked like a perfect match for my skin tone, the other shades were either too pinky or too golden, this shade has a beautiful pearlescent sheen to it which gives the skin a really radiant finish and helps to create the perfect base when worn under foundation.

I also picked up the Revlon Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in 'Torch Incendiaire', I thought this would be the perfect product for an on the go smokey eye, the formula is really creamy and blendable, I love using the nude shade on my brow bone as a highlight and the darker shade under the eye for a subtle smokey effect. My last purchase took me a while to choose and I walked out of Boots with an arm full of Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm swatches, I eventually settled on the shade 'Unapologetic'  - a bright neon pink, I felt my collection was missing a statement pink until I got this bad boy, the formula is really long lasting and for a matte product my lips stay nice and hydrated whilst wearing this, I like to pair this with a neutral eye and classic cat flick liner.

I cannot wait to see what Revlon bring out next, they have been so impressive as of late. What have been some of your favourites?

Where To Eat: London

On my last trip to London I came across a lovely little bakery in Covent Garden called Peyton and Byrne on Wellington Street, the window display is filled with the most gorgeous looking cakes and sandwiches. There are a few branches dotted around London and if you are ever passing one I really recommend there hot chocolate, literally to die for! They have a large selection of homemade artisan breads, cakes and pastries and lots of different teas etc to choose from. Luca and I went for the Lemon Drizzle, Chocolate cake and a Strawberry cupcake, I can safely say they were some of the tastiest cakes I have ever eaten, my favourite was probably the Lemon Drizzle.

Have you ever eaten at a Peyton and Byrne cafe?

This Time Last Week #1

I thought it was about time I gave my blog a regular feature, and after some deliberation I have come up with 'This Time Last Week' a Sunday post where I talk about what I got up to the previous Sunday, now if I am honest my life on a Sunday isn't always that exciting but when it is I will be sure to blog about it. So this time last Sunday I was on a train making my way up to London for Vodafone's London Fashion Weekend, it was such a fun day, one of my favourite things about the whole experience was seeing all the amazing street styles. Some of the most inspiring looks were really out there, think big hats, cartoon style clutch bags and clashing prints and bold colours. I really feel like I need to get more experimental with my style and push those boundaries, I also couldn't resist including a snap of Luca as he was showcasing his latest vintage purchase, a cord bomber jacket from To Be Worn Again in Brighton.

Where do you look for fashion inspiration?

Puffy Eyes Be Gone

It's Saturday today and I have no doubt that some of you will be waking up tomorrow morning, or afternoon, looking a little worse for wear after the night before, let's face it we have all been there. I think I may have found the cure for those unattractive puffy dark zombie eyes at long last, enter the 'Anatomicals Puffy the Eye Bag Slayer Wake-up Under Eye Patches' I received these in a recent GlossyBox and I have to admit they have been sat patiently in my 'awaiting testing' box for what seems like ages but the other day after a late night I was in need of a little pick me up so I thought it would be the perfect time to test these out.

Make sure you apply these to a cleansed and dry face, and place under the eye making sure they go on nice and smooth and leave on for thirty minutes, they leave your under eye area feeling so refreshed and reduce dark circles and puffiness. They are seriously easy to use, I like to wear them during a long soak in the bath tub, just make sure you don't get your face wet.

Have you tried these yet?
